1998 Ford Expedition Keyless Entry Program

I had my keys stolen that contained my keyless entry on the ring. I recently purchased two new keyless entry fobs but I need to know how to program them. Can anyone help? thanks

To program the key fobs, what you do is put the key in the ignition, and turn the key between on and just before the start position, back and forth, 6 times (i believe).

Then within 3 seconds press both the lock and unlock buttons on the first key-fob and the doors should lock or unlock and the vehicle should honk.

Repeat for the second key fob.

The turning of the key you might need to play with as i don't remember if it's six time or eight times, but that ought to do the trick for you. call the local dealer and ask a service advisor how to do it if this doesn't work.

Thanks, I will try that. I saw a post for a 1999 Expedition that said basicly the same thing, only to turn the key eight times.

If that other post sadi 8 times, then i'd try 8!
