Trans swap???? Q45 Please help

I have a 1990 q45 and a 93 q45 the 93 is wrecked and the 90 needs a trans ,, I put the 93 trans in the 90 and i got nothing , the trans doesnt go at all ,, i called a local junkyard and they stated the 90 is a year of its own... I have the 93 and all the componets , the trans bolted up and all connections were the same ,there has to be something i can change from my 93 into the 90 to make it work.. Any one have any ideas what i need to change to make the 93 work on my 90 ... Please respond thanks

For anyone's future info.. I got it working it was a problem inside the trans somehow the shifter linkage must have moved. by pulling the pan down and making a adjustment everything is ok ...
