Strut life

Recently I've been noticing that my wife's Maxima seems a bit skittish over bumps, especially when going around corners. Since I don't drive it every day, I don't know if this is a recent condition or one that's always been apparent and I just didn't notice. Anyway, it has 100k miles on the clock now and I was wondering how long I should expect the stock struts to last. Any thoughts?

Local Nissan techs say they can last the life of the car but they've seen some go as early as 50K.

I had to replace mine at around 110k. Just be warned though, factory struts can be REALLY expensive, but worth it! I replaced mine with Monroe (which is considered a good strut) all around and aside from the fact that the car doesnt lean in turns and bottom out on bumps, it doesnt feel like i replaced them at all!

I had to change mine 190K.
I have put KYB on , they are OK.
