evap hose from intake connects where?

the other day while changing my air filter to a fresh new one and while at it cleaned the inside of the uicp and TB elbow, i noticed that one of the hoses from the intake accordion wasn't leading to anything, so i researched about what it was and where it was supposed to go but at best only found out which hose its called -an EVAP hose, but no site seemed to inform anyone where its supposed to lead to. and the haynes manual is just plain worthless sometimes. can anyone tell me where this is supposed to connect to? from the intake. thanks.

btw, my car's a 2G GST.

On 95-96 cars, the evap canister is under the battery. There is a mess of hoses down there, but it should be obvious where it connects to by the molded shape of that hose. Some 97 and later cars had the canister under the drivers side headlight, in that case I'm not sure how they plumb all that together.
