I have always like T-tops and one even better is the Targa roof like the 911's and Corvettes. I'm in the early stages of working with a company to help develope a kit for a Targa roof conversion for a Fox Mustang.
They have already created and sell one for the SN-95 Mustangs. I have set-up a poll here to guage interest in this idea. So if you own a Fox would you be interested in a Targa Conversion kit that could be installed by the DIY-er in his driveway over a weekend?
This will be seen by the companies proprietor so post any feedback about the idea. Don't bother psoting questions to him cause he is too busy to answer questions on this forum he is just looking to get an idea of the interest.

i'm not interested, only because at this point i'm only concerned with how fast it goes and not the looks of it. and a targa roof requires all sorts of chassis reinforcement to prevent severe body roll, cracking and all that fun stuff. if i were building say a show car or a nice summer car then yes it would be cool.

Depends on the car. On my notch, no way. On the GT, for sure!

Actually it's really not that expensive. About the cost of a quality bodykit not painted.

If I had a stang I'd be all for it!
If I could get it done to the bird I'd do it!

If I had a fox I would do it for sure. For one it would be different and turn alot of heads, who can complain with that? Also it would be alot of fun on those hot summer nights out cruisin the town. Always loved T-tops on those kinda nights. With the targa you dont have to worry about beatin your head over the center beam thing when you get a little too excited and come flying out of the back seat lol.

As far as cost I could not tell you exactly what it will be for the Fox until they work it all. But the SN-95 Targa kit retails $1200 which can be done in your own driveway over a weekend. This is what a Saleen, Rousch, Cervinis Stalker body kit will cost you more or less before painting it. So the Fox conversion would be looking to do the same things keep it in that price range and give the ability for the DIY-er to do it in his own driveway.
Also as far as extra bracing of course subframes are a must. The SN-95 car with just subframes and the Targa Conversion has a 400+HP motor and has shown no issue with frame twisting. With subframes you car would be no worse of than a stock convertible.
