i have a 94 ls and i want to do an ls/vtec to my car too. from what i heard or know, u need to a change all these to VTEC, yes VTEC.

1) ecu
2) waterpump
3) timing belt
4) oil pump

other thing u need is a VTEC solenoid and new wiring from the solenoid to the ECU.

yes u can used the stock tranny. if you dont know alot about car, all the thing i listed up above are different in LS and GSR.

I dont know every thing that needs to be done but I can give everything I know so here it goes. You need to tap and plug the oil supply hole one the bottom left side of the head. 1/8th pipe plug will work for that. Then run an oil supply line from a t-fitting placed on the oil pressure sending unit boss on the block to the vtec oil galley plug on the intake side of the head near the distributer. To make the oil line you need a piece or -4a/n braided steel line about 20" long, with 2 female a/n fittings attached, a 3/8" npt to -4a/n adaptor for the head, a 1/8" npt to -4a/n adaptor and 1/8" npt t-fitting with 2 female sides and 1 male side. you must also open the dowel pin holes one the head to 9/16" because the ls block has larger dowel pins. you should use a ls head gasket. also a ecu from a vtec ecu for your year and model. you have to run jumper wires for the 90 u run 1 from the a-8 pin in the ecu to the vtec silenoid 1 from the b-5 pin to vtec pressure and 1 from the b-19 pin to the knock senser the you will have to hookup by simply groundin it to the chassis the is hooked up to the ecu on any year vehical and for the 94 you will have to run jumper wires but the pins are different the vtec silenoid wire goes from the a-4 pin to the silenoid a wire from the d-6 pin to the vtec pressure and a wire from the d-3 pin to the knock sensor that you can hookup the same way as the 90 just ground it to the chassis that the ecu is hooked to or get a hasport ecu for vtec with no knocksensor and thats all i know about the swap so i hope it is helpful to you let me know if it is

yeh just go to importview.com. These guys definitely know what they're doin. I dunno why they pick a gsr head over the b16a. Thats just something i dont agree on. Then again that research is pretty old so maybe they have different ideas now.
