99+gt vs lt1

guess i will let u guys in on this! to see if it happens the same when u run them.
just got my car running again after maf was dirty! BS. anyway took it on the highway to see how if the code was gonna pop up again and sure enuff it did after about 15 miles. so i turn around and head home. when i get off at my exit there is a gt pulling out of the gas station and he has a clear road to get onto ( no traffic) but the second my ligh tturns green he goes. so i get up next to him, give a lil gas, no bite, then he gets up next to me. i ask if its stock and he says yes( but there was no pipes coming out the back they were coming from under his door, custom like a roush but sounded kinda stock) so i say wanna run real quick. he gives it a lil gas a few times i give a lil gas and he floors it. i am goin about 40 he gets the hit and i pull ATLEAST a car or more on him till about 60 then i let off, he almost catches back up and then turns left.

this has nothing to do with a 350z or g35! sorry admin. i was just trying to see how much of a differnce between me and gt and 350z and gt.

like i said when i find one of u on the street i am gonna annihilate you, and remind that ur car is not as fast as u think it is.
this brings me to a point. you have a lt1 motor with a quite a few bolt ons and your bragging because you can beat a stock 350z in a straight street race. i would hope so. like i said before your car is meant to go straight and do it very quickly. the 350z is not meant for this and it is sad that it can keep up stock for stock. actually from the sounds of it can keep up with it with all your stuff done to it because i have seen many stock 350z's tear apart GT's with mods. and you only pulled on the GT by a car length??? im not dissin the camaro...it can be a very impressive car. but i dont understand what gives you the nerve to come in a 350z forum bashing the 350z because its not faster than your camaro with "quite a few bolt-ons."

ha.....i actually like the z, but i have to have a back seat so i was gonna get a g35 but couldnt get financed so i looked other ways and got z28 for performance and back seat. and i dont care about handling becuz i am not into autocrossing and i dont go whipping around corners on the streets! well k3smostwanted u r modded right? then please come my way! i dont have headers , dont have gears i only have 400$ into my z, and thats not including the rebuilt tranny. that is not a mod either! its maintenance. and i dont know if a 350z can hang with a stock z28 but each board goes different ways! 350z boards the 350z wins and walks all over the z28, but the camaro boards we walk all over u guys so i wouls like to see for myself what is so hard to realize about that! i am not the on ethat got all offensive at first on this site, i am actually wanted to learn what u guys run and more about ur cars, and u guys take it as " look at this camaro fan come trying to bash our cars" not the case by any means.

oh yeah i said atleast a car length from 40-60 and i am bein generous..

im glad you are respectful...you seem like a good guy. just some of the things i took offense being a z owner. i do not own a 350z...but i am a little knowledgable about the car. i respect the camaro but i dont think comparing a z28 to a 350z is a good comparison. a z28 and gt is more of a comparison.

also about me and you racing...not a good idea. i have a n/a z32 that will get destroyed by any car that was named on this forum. but if you wait until spring i will be happy to walk you across the finish line. lol. j/k.

yes u r correct about the camaro is more of a comparison to the gt. and not the 350z. and i take it offensivley when u guys say taht ur car is bettern then mine. lol. thank you for not taking this thread any farther then it already has went!
and maybe u can help me understand what nissan 300zx 2+2 means? here is what i take it as! twin turbo 2 seater!
and by this summer i will have a nice hefty cam, gears, and hopefully longtube headers.

the 300zx 2+2 simply just means that it has back seats. 2 front standard seats + 2 back seats. but the back seats arent much to talk about. they are about one step bigger than a book shelve. also this makes the car a little longer which causes it to be heavier but longer wheel base means that it is better for auto-cross.

yeah by next spring i will be a Twin Turbo 2+2 with a few bolt-ons. pop-charger, cat-back, down/testpipes, JWT ECU, boost controller so i should be able to hang with just about any car that comes my way.

also, i got a question for you...did the z28 come with the ls1 motor at sometime? i know a guy that has a z28 and he was talkin about stock for stock his car dyno's just as high as a vette. also, he claims he is running mid 12's with a bad start.

I'm still having a hard time figuring out what this has to do with Z's. Shouldn't the G35 be @ the INFINITI forum BTW? The G35 is not a Z-Car! Camaro's? GT's? Wrong Forum, Guy!

in 98 they put the LS1 motor in, which was underrated from the factory. almost all LS1 z28's are dynoing 290-310 to the wheels( depending on stick and auto) and they are running mid 13's at 104-106. but with just a few bolt ons they are mid 12 cars. they respond very well to mods. my friend has a 02SS fully optioned SLP package and he can beat all the new vettes except the Z06. and his car is stock down to the paper air filter.

yes this has nothing to do with z's but if you read the 350z vs. 96 z28 thread then you would understand why he posted this thread here.

a pop-charger is basically a cone filter that sits at the end of the intake tube on z's made by Jim Wolf Technology. (the stock air box is located down behind the front bumper on z32's so basically you remove the air box and replace with a cone filter and you have a cold air intake.)

You are right but if all people did here was talk about Z's then you be just as ignorant as most Ford and GM guys. Which brings me to another point . . . Why does everyone ask if their 350Z can beat some other car? If you dont know go and find one then race it. If you loose or win then you know your answer. Share with others if you would like. Asking what someone ealse can or can not do says little about either your confidence or driving skills. I am done griping for now.

Don't worry I wasn't really refering to you but instead all of the 350Z drivers. Mustangs and Camaros are everywhere and more then likely they will race a 350z. Get out there w/ a friend a digital camcorder and start posting some video! I would if I wasnt drving an Escort now :( Its much slower than my turbo civic and 02 GT were.

i have a 20 sec video recorder, ie digital camera! but hey it works! and as of right now my car isnt to dependable! soemting in the computer is messed and the only way i can drive it is with the map sesor unplugged and noone can tell me y this is. but there os nothing more then i would like to do then be on the street recording some great entertainment

The more i drive my Z the more i realize that it's just not a drag type car. Which is fine with me beacuse i prefer to drift through a corner then just drive straight. I might be wrong about a Z with a TT putting up good 1/4 times though.
