Yes, it does. Shifting always makes a difference in improving your times and start-up.

Automatics tend to shift at the worst points. Manual allows your car to shift when you need it. I like manual not only does it not give me crappy shift times. I feel like Im more in control of the car. Aye, Kman. What are your shift times for the AE86?
