REAR WINDOW weather strip

:grinno:I have this gap in each top left & top right corner
(it shrunk) of the Rear window. My glass guy says don't mess with
it. I went to a recycle yard to see a salvage vehicle's rear window and I see now, mine will not leak come winter. The factory silicone runs an inch & a half "inside" from the outter edge and down the side of the window. So the exposed area top right & top left when rained on, the water will just run along a track and down passed the trunkrail.:)

Mine did the same damn thing....and the rubber separated from the bottom edge as well. Apparently that stupid metal piece covers the seam as the rubber isn't one piece. Looks like absolute crap. Your glass guy sounds like he just doesn't want the business....or is a wuss.

I talked with another glass company which saw the car in person, they said, "if" I bought the dealer rubber molding they would install it.:smokin:
I guess there could be a chance of breaking the glass trying to replace the molding, even though the glass is not cracked or chiped. Its a real expensive rear piece of glass says the first company.

I also have the same prob I tried silicone it slowed it sum not all the way, I cant find where it's getting in at.
