So I have seen alot of these cold air intakes that simply put a "vaccum cleaner" type hose from your grill to a spot near or connected to the air filter. I have a few questions on them. One is won't this suck water into the air filter/engine if it is raining or down pouring? The second is how benifical would this be to put one on? And last is a combo of how big of a pipe, and can forge one of these myself? Any info would be of great interest.

the frist question i have to ask you is is it a 6 or a 4. if it is a 4 you need all the help you can get. the beafit is you get ture cold air witch misses better with fuel witch = hp. second you need to put some kind of water trap on it if you are worried about water. the pipe i have made is a 2 1/2 to 3 inch. so good luck. go to www.contor.org that is were i go and they should. help you. if you have a 4 or a 6. i have a 6.

The filter wont really create enough suction to suck up rain, but it will however pick up dirt and such.
