98 camry want start

recently my camry stalled. when i try to start it its turning over but it want crank. can u help me with this? andrecov its not the belt it act like it wants to crank but it just wont. its turning but it just start. my uncle got it to crank once more but it didnt stay on could it possible be the battery.
