Fuel Cut-off Problem

Sorry if this has already been asked before, but I was wondering if there is a way to mod the fuel cut-off problem with the P11. As you are aware the fuel is cut off when you redline the engine and I wonder if there is a way to get around this problem. Any input will much be appreciated...

JWT ECU!

JWT dosn't make an ecu for the p11's yet they are having problems breaking the new code, unless you want to buy a 98 ecu for a sentra or 200sx and rewire it to work with your harness but that sounds like way to much trouble and a little ify to me. I think unichip is our only solution but it cost like $900 (I think) and has to be programed via a unichip dealer or someone who knows how to work with it. If anyone knows any other options I would like to hear it to.

Thought the JWT ECU issue was only for 2000+ models? Wait a minute, I see the original post was re: a 2k2. Sorry.

That's right, didn't notice that.
I think those dial-a-booms might have a RPM fuel cut defeater. Not to sure though. Personally I dont' see much point in raising your rev limit unless you have cams. The stock motor runs out of steam after about 6000rpm.

Mine doesn't seem to run out of steam past 6k it pulls pretty strong all the way to that annoying redline which catches me by surprise sometimes, especially when auto-xing and that sucks even worse because everyone is watching you.:(

I agree with you. Mine car tends to pull more at above 6k. I thought the JWT ECU would have overcome the problem but it is not available. I would not want to go through the re-hardnessing with the 98 ECU. That's too much trouble for me.
J, with the new and more performance-oriented cams would deliniate fuel cut-off problem? I know it won't completely eliminated but at least it increase the rev limiter?

New cams don't do anything to the rev limit. You'll have to find an electronic solution like an ECU upgrade or something like that.
