merger of the S-chassis forums

Hmm, I don't think this is a good idea just b/c the 240sx does have a different engine than the silvia and 200sx in europe, but at the same time a lot of people here have swapped sr20dets. And they should make the 200sx a seperate section, the 2 door sentras is a totally different car. I think the Europeans with the 200sx's already know to go to the silvia forum instead of the American 200sx's. And what the hell is the Gazelle?

i don't think it a bad i dea. 240 owners can get alot of cool advice from silvia and other sr powered car owners. s12's kick ass. and usdm fwd 200sx owners can be redirected.

i think a gazelle is an ausie name for the s12.

I think its good because it will open up a lot of options and bring many different points of views from body style to engines

why would s14's be garbage if they got less problems, better build quality, and better overall quality than the s13? Not to mention a stiffer chassis

this WAS done for a reason, and a good one.

the Silvia forums, while existant, were dead. nobody would visit them. someone would ask a question, and it would sometimes be months before someone would answer it.

merging it here can help those people get answers faster.

this is no longer "just" the 240SX forum. it is now the S-Chassis forum.

yes, the 240SX has a different engine and many other subtle differences from the S-Chassis in other countries. BUT, alot of people over here do SR20 swaps, or CA swaps, in an effort to make their car just like a Silvia or a 180SX. therefore, it's not like we can't help those Silvia and 180SX owners who are in need. it's not like we can't ask a question about a KA in one thread and then a question about an SR in another. it's been done before!

this will give all S-Chassis owners one place to go instead of trying to pick between the 2 forums (240SX or Silvia), and will hopefully help them to get the help they need quicker.

as for 200SX, we're not talking about the Sentra-based FWD one. if too many people come in here asking questions about those, then i will personally talk to our Administration team to see what we can do to fix that problem.

I think it is alright cept for the 200sx part. I know a lot of people will start posting about the b12 cause of the high amount of postage here in this forum and the name of it. Other than that, we can get more info on general stuff, and help others while we are at it.

s13s look like outdated garbage. truthfully, even the s14 is starting to look outdated compared to all the newer cars.

i like the s14 with aggressive eyes... the 97. that would've been my ideal... but wat the heck, s13 are cool too. (especially a 180sx conversion) haha

??? for some reason i see it the opposite of you....KA seems to be getting more popoular to me.

yeah because of originality concerns and because of different uses many people are beginning to go towards using the KA

also it could be in part that drag racers wear down engines quicker and KA parts are abudant in the US espically considering all the swaps done

I think if you manage an engine properly you will be able to keep the same engine for atleast 4 years of hard drag racing... but thats if you know what you are doing...

and if you have an SR there are plenty of websites to get bargin prices on any part you need... i have found plenty for my 180sx and it runs great

didn't the earlier post explain the gazelle? it is the s12 with turbo.

no the S12 with the turbo was the RS-X i believe.

Gazelle, i believe, was a model exactly like the Silvia. sort of like the Levin is to the Trueno.

Gazelle was Coupe Version of the S12 I think... I'm pretty sure... BTW Suislide is correct... The RSX version is a Turbo powered Coupe (In Japan).

well, hi from austria, although I'm here for quite some time now, and err I was in the correct forum from the beginning on :) although we have 200sxies

I think it was a good idea to merge the forums. Firstly because I have a S15, and no1 would ever reply on the silvia forums. Lol i just decided to come here b4 it was merged and people kept on asking me why im here, i always told them the same thing: That the silvias forum is dead, and that I think that the 240sx forum has a lot more experienced people when it comes to tuning.

Now how the F*** are people going to ask you why you are here and so many of the members haven't even got down to buy a 240??????????????
Some of the regulars here don't even have a nissan leave alone a 240, I say welcome all, we are all here to talk about cars, if you have knowledge on any S-chasis car, pull up a chair, we could all learn from each other. Some pointers I got were from ppl who drive domestics put picked the info somewhere else.
Sorry for getting a little pissed, but if you have an S15 you should be most welcomed cuz half these folks could get pointers from you, I mean the whole dream of most is converting their 240 into a Silvia, so if thats the case, once they are done with their conversions, they should move to the Silvia forum.
