Name that hose--95' Escort

I'm trying to identify the hose that runs from the valve-cover to the side of the box that the air-filter sits in.

Mine seems to be cracked on the end that connects to the valve-cover.

what is the purpose of this hose-btw?

crank case ventilation...if it's cracked get a new one...

And it costs $69 from the dealer apparently.

Ouch.

Anyone know of anyplace cheaper?

most auto parts stores sell rubber hose by the foot...cheap....a couple o' bucks or so...$69.00 for a rubber hose is in-freakin' sane....
