95-97 Aurora RECALL-Important

I just received a letter from General motors informing me of recall, stating that the Nylon tubing used to transfer fuel may degrade and crack causing fuel to leak inside the engine! It may cause fire under hood :mad: (and if you're driving on curved mountain road with 4 kids in seatbelts, God help you! :evillol: ) :grinno: :nono: My advice to all 95-97 Aurora owners is to take your car to Dealer and have the recalled part replaced with steel line (what they should have put in to begin with :screwy: ) before disaster happens.

Oh by the way, Anyone has an extra center cap and rear driver side door skin for 95 Aurora? mine is black. :confused:

I have scanned the recall document I got in the mail and posted it to share will all of you. I personally had made several frustrating phone calls in the last month or so to Oldsmobile and had always been told the 95's would not be included in the recall, so the change is very recent. The recall also includes a reimbursement form for those who had their car repaired earlier and still have the receipts. Please don't let your dealer simply "inspect", insist on all the nylon fuel rail being replaced, this is your life we are talking about here!
