My engine light on my 2001 jetta 1.8T Wolfsburg edition came on and I took it to the vw dealer. They told me that my turbo valve and my secondary air pump needed to be replaced and after seeing the 113/hr labor I decided to take it elsewhere. The VW club of Tulsa recommended me to a mechanic. I took it in and he ran his diagnositc tests and only found that the valve was bad, but had many other codes show up-such as fuel and voltage. He found that the hoose to the turbo valve was bad and replaced it thinking that it was the problem, but my light came back on the next day so i took it in and he replaced the valve. When I left my car was acting sluggish and slow to the gas pedal so I took it back and the plug which goes over the far left spark plug had popped up (had happened before) so we put a metal bracket over it and it ran fine. Driving home three days later my engine was terrible and when I pulled over it looked like it was choking to death and wanted to fall off. Is there any mechanics that have delt with a problem like this before because I would really like to know what is wrong before i have towed to another mechanic and pay him to tell me he doesnt know what is wrong?????

Whats the part number on the coil? if the last number is not a J than you whould update to new ignition coils (there IS a recall for this)
