I forgot exactly where and when i heard this..i think it was in a movie or maybe a book, it is something i never forgot. The person said that when you die, your heaven is what you love-and love most, it is manifested inside your own mind and spirit-and will be entirely yours, even in death.
Me, when things are tough, and i just wanna sort of day dream-my heaven, or special place is always this.. I picture myself on a beautiful beach-blue waters, very sunny with a cool breeze, and behind me is all my relatives and EVERYONE i met in life. By everyone i mean the people that where genuine, and trustworthy. I see all deceased relatives also. What i feel is an amazing happiness.. Alone..But not lonely.. Just bliss.
Maybe it's cause us #7 capricorns are to damn dreamy :-) Numerology etc..

Does this mean that everyone you ever met in your life is dead, too?
Sorry, I shouldn't try to be funny here.
It's a very nice vision. Our own personal heaven should be the nicest thing we can think of, but why should it look backwards, to people we already have met and known?
Why shouldn't it be a place of discovery, of new people and places to see and explore? That would be my idea of heaven.

MagicRat, thats exactly it.. the thing about friends, well i mean it's manifested.. Basically you remember, and cherish the "good times", you keep inside all the good-and forget the bad. Yeah i've had several relative pass on, two of which by suicide, one in a horrible car accident and the other natural causes. Your right though, looking forward instead of back is a much better observation..

If you're dwelling in the past, then you're lost. It's as simple as the old saying 'today is a gift, that's why they call it the present'. Basically don't look back, look at what you have right infront of you. I love Ruby Tuesday by the way, great song.
As far as a vision of heaven... well, what i envision it to be is as described in the Bible. The rest is up to one's imagination. My own little 'place of serenity' is actually three 'places' that i go:
1. Prayer.
2. Playing of the piano while rain pours against the windows.
3. Driving down dark country roads at 2AM, just chasing the night.
Those three things are what bring me the most peace. Good idea for a thread by the way, i look forward to conversing in this one!

just my friends, and my loved ones, i i know its not cool, but i do not love all of my relatives, so would not care to see all of them. remeber friends are choses family, the other family you are stuck with no matter if you want to or not. case in point my mom, havent talked to her in over a year. so that would be my heaven, that and on a beautiful island with all the ammenities, and the ocean, that is swimmable haha. cuz it would suck with an island and not being able to swim outside of it

Sorry to hear about the troubles with your family... i hate to hear that brothers/sisters/Moms/Dads/Aunts/Uncles/cousins/Grandparents don't talk to each other. I find it troubling.

One thing I love, that I wish could be in my own heaven is...intellegent, interesting conversation.
A really good cocktail/patio party is just terrific with good friends, fascinating new people to meet, really good food and a lovely setting.
Oh, and maybe a whole bunch of new original tunes by New Order and The Cure, (or Holst) on the stereo

When i die i wanna be in a place where i can talk to all my relatives and get to know them. And i want to spend time with my Uncle Mike, he lived in Arizona and died at the age of 54 in one week because of cancer. He was cool but i never got to get close to him, so i would like to get to know him better. Also i want to have an infinite car garage filled with every make and model i want. My idea of paradise is basically what is described in the bible.

I look forward too..and i wish it was ALREADY like this, is complete peace. Like "imagine" by lennon, that would be supreme if EVERYONE could get along. No wars, terrorists, mindless killings anything. Just eveyone having a good time-and caring for one another-oh wait, thats my heaven :-)

As Belinda Carlisle said,
"... they say in heaven, love comes first ..."
That's all you need, really. To give it and to have it given unto you, and you're very rich as a result.

I think my happiest place is a baseball diamond. No not just standing there, actually playing. Im 19 now and only have 2 years left of organzied baseball unless i want to try amature or pro. But when im out there nothing else matters.
I remember last yr my currect gf sat on the bench and did the score book for us and she got mad when she asked what i think about on the field. Even though she was right there i never noticed her. I know she was there but i never said anything to her during games at all. She was upset but i guess she just doesnt understand

"And death shall have no dominion."
My "heaven" is a place where I'm not touched by death. My greatest fear is losing someone I love. I never met my Aunt, she died in 1975 at the hands of a hit and run driver, 6 years before I was born. There is no death in my heaven. Only life -- I don't care what kind of life, just as long as I don't have to fear for those I care for, or wonder what was lost in those I didn't know, or turn on the television and see people marching into death, or hear of someone falling to a disease. Yes, I will admit that death is an unavoidable part of life. But it has no place in my heaven.

I've seen most of my family pass on. Five deaths, one horriffic car accident, and that was just in my lifetime. My father saw the rest of the family decintegrate. So its me, him, my mother and one grandmother. And this whole time, I've stayed strong. I've seen friends die in car accidents. Recently a friend committed suicide. I've been through a divorce, between family members, between people who take care of my grandmother. you figure at 17 you should be a carefree teenager who goes to high school, does well, and then goes to college. Not one who has seen his entire world fall around him. Plus i got in more trouble this year than i ever had, clean record untill i got expelled. Lost my first car, the only real thing i ever cared about, and I'm in a grade not familiar to myself, but i carry on, because i know that one day life will be better. Sry to drag anyone down if i did. My personal heaven? Sex, beer, cars and TV! No, just kiddin, a place that exists only in my head, one that i can't describe.

OK, you might have been kidding, but I'm not. Sex, wine, cars, sports, computer games, music, and TV. Sounds like paradise to me!
