No more street racing for me....

well here in NC, they just passed a law that says if your caught street racing, they take your car and you never get it back. and yes, they can do that because it is now a court ordered law here :mad: . they passed this law because some eff'in dumbass's were racing on the outskirts of my town, in a subdivision, and killed this little boy. so sorry fellas, no more stories from me. dont go crying too much :lol:

I have a few things I'd like to say.
1. if you're close to the state line, go over there and race
2. IF you get caught
3. this is why we have laws, so we can break them here and there

...i'm saying don't get caught first...and second...cops (at least here) overreact to everything and are way too scared to care enough to do something, tonight they pulled over a prelude w/ a fiberglass unpainted back kit on...guns drawn and everything...this guy was absolutely harmless!! on the other hand, people have been outrunning the cops in their CAVALIERS (stock) and preludes (stock) and eclipses turbo(stock...kinda)

run if they see you, doesn't matter where just run just RUN if u get on it quick enough they'll never catch you

exactly... you can't out run radio. If it get's that insane anywhere, obey the law... or at least cross the state lines. You need to realize that sometimes, doing the most boring thing can be the right thing to do... your car is your baby, you don't want it kidnapped.

I have a fast car(now)... but I rarely partake in street races. It's pretty rare that I'll go out and hunt for a race. Most of the time I just drive conservatively and cruise. Saves gas... keeps insurance low... keeps money in my pocket. :p

I don't go to the organised stuff, which is where most of the cops are going.

Don't run from the cops, that's how you can end up DEAD.

Be safe and be smart, and don't go looking, let someone look for you; across the state line in your case.

i kno, my friends all get in trouble, but i dont' for some reason....i have really dumb luck, they all run and get away though, so here it would be great advice :D

I don't think it's good advice for anyone anywhere. Just don't get caught doing things your not suposed to be doing or talk your way out of it, running will get you killed.

You shouldn't get caught racing. 7 easy steps to avoid getting caught:

1) Meet at a empty parking lot and don't bring 200 people to race. Honestly, not all of them can race at one time.
2) Agree on a spot
3) Drive through the spot you want to race at and look for cops
4) If you find cops, then leave
5) If not, line up
6) Race
7) Leave immediately. Actually, you shouldn't ever stop after you race.

Oh, and race at like midnight. I really don't believe that cops care about some kids racing in the middle of the night on an abandonded road. Its the idiots that race during rush hour on Main street that piss them off.

no shit dude dont run, one time i was going down a road with my friends in two other cars, a lesabre LOL, and a grand prix GTP, and me 93 240sx, we were going down the road and we were just gonna chill there for a while, so we shut off our cars (i was the last one down the road, because noone lives on that road, and one of the friends dads has a dodge hemi i think, and we see him coming down the gravel road, i said shit ur dad, so the 2 other cars haul ass going straight , but i do a donut and go the other way, ended up i lost him but i felt the govenor of my car a couple times :)

most cops are out at midnight and care greatly because that's the easiest time to find sucker kids who race around cop infested areas. (on laptop if anyone is asking why i'm typing this during a hurricane) the best way is to just make sure no cops are around, and to race in desolate unknown areas.... main streets are a no no.

Im in North Carolina, and I thought that law has been in place for a while, but I always got the impression that they would impound your car only in extreme cases like repeat offenders or if betting was done.
