Hi all, i have an 89 Corolla Hatch, and was wondering how to go about installing a tachometer into it, im interested to see what my engine rev's at.
I dont race it so i dont need a big one with shift lights and what-not, just a simple tach.
Any advice would be great thanks. Mike.

You have two options - either attach signal wire the tach to the distributor test lead (short wire near distributor with a little plastic clip) or hook up to the diagnostic port under the hood. I'd rather go with the distributor lead (worked for my camry 90 a while back) and wire it back through firewall to the cabin.

Be careful not to ground the signal wire or + on the tachometer.
