I read a few post where they insist do not use other then Honda ATF. This seems like bull to me but I might be wrong. What EXACTLY does the manual say for (90-93)4th generation Accord?
I don't have a owners manual, heck I don't even have the car yet! :lol2:
Is Honda ATF a synthetic or not? I see it's about $4 a quart. I really would like to use a syn. if possible.
ANY RECOMMENDATIONS?
Thanks

You can use DEXRON ATF (red) in the automatic transmission. Honda fluid might be a little better and make smoother shifting but that is all. The only fluid that must be Honda is the steering pump fluid. Anything else will eat the seals. (This does not apply to ABS)

Just curious - what does ABS have to do with either power steering or transmission?
