Modifying my first die cast (after about 35 year gap from building plastic 1/25 models). First, what is the best kind of glue to attach plastic to metal, metal to metal or painted surfaces. Second, I have read alot about applying Future for a gloss coat. I used that stuff back when it first came out 30 something years ago and can testify that it does not yellow over time! Do you actually apply it to the finished job (windows, lights, bumpers, everything except tires) or apply it to the body parts before making the final assembly? Back then I used a manual spray bottle to gloss coat my models after painting before putting them together. I assume this is done the same, but was a little confused about some of the things I read making it sound like they sprayed the whole finished car.

Glues:
Superglue
Epoxy.
For strongest bonding, and ability to sand, epoxy putty.
Future, hmm. I havent used it yet, but I have read up on it. I usually stick to my HoK/PPG Clears. Personally, I paint all the parts, and then assemble. That includes clear coat. I have never applied it to any clear parts before, I dont see any need too.
Usually people apply future with an airbrush, either way its hard to get on evenly.

never used that stuff, but for metal-to-metal "welding" I have SuperPoxee, it takes about an hour to fully "weld" the metal together, but it really works well.
