When I turn the key it will start, however, when i let go of the turn, the car dies?????????????

well when you hold the key forward does your starter grind??

no the starter doesnt grind when i turn the key forward....i replaced the Coil and that didnt help it at all....so i dont know what to do.

replace the lock cylinder that you put your key in... i think there some sort of lock to hold it in the run position and that might be what broke on yours... wait for a 2nd opinion b4 buying one cause im not 100% sure

call a chevy dealer if you can't figure it out, describe the problem, sometimes they can be a big help... just don't buy parts from them until u check prices at other places because they are often more expensive...

id do that too....but uh yea i can actually work on my car....and i live out in the Country....and i really dont feel like takin my car to wenatchee or spokane....just so they can be all like "well ur the one who fucked your car over" so yea....any other advice?

are your dash lights coming on with the key in the run position?
