I thought it might be useful to post these inbox pics, for those who are still not sure wether it 's worth to buy it or not.
I bought this little rally -star yesterday, for about 19 € a fairly high price for an italeri model, at that time I didn't know it was really workth it, especially for the decal sheet...
Knowing italeri, you can either expect a quite OK model, or a pure PITA pile of crap. Glad to anounce you this is one of the first.
in the box are four squares stuffies with the parts on (don't remember the english name). One is holding parts for teh engine, rims, all well made, and with some detailing it llbe stunning.

another one is for the chassis, which is fairly good molded, except for a few pinholes, another one carries teh iunterior parts, which are again, well molded, and they hold a rollcage, which is a nice plus, and the parts of the body are well molded too, with nice detail and a fairly ok molding and a few mold lines.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/bigfrit/silly003.jpg
then there are the always present clear parts, and very nice rubber tyres, and the masterpiece, a cartograf decal sheet depicting the alen car on the criterium molson rallye.

A very nice, ballsy model that italeri re-released and the result will be very nice and ballsy too if built with a bit of TLC, more on this later when I start it (in a few weeks).

I'm lickin' my lips at the prospect of getting hold of one of these!
Thanks so much for the review Olivier, looks like a very sound kit. I wonder what aftermarket parts and decals we will see in the coming months?

you're welcome for the review, consider those just a little contribution to what makes AF great!
As for the mercedeses; you 're right! I still have those ones! :grinyes:
nah they re just in the closet, waiting for me to gain some skill, they have to be perfect, maybe , one day...
Ciao
Oh and I am wondering, I don't think that we'll be expecting many aftermarket stuff for this one, as it's very limited release in both america and Japan, so I don't think companies as S27 will bother making decal sheets and the likes, but maybe renaissance will.
That's my idea about this, but hey, I m very happy with the decals supplied, and to make it even better, I think adding a seatbelt stuffy is the only sensible thing to do.

You weren't kidding about this being a limited release. I just checked HLJ and found they have stopped taking pre-orders for it :banghead:

Limited release :screwy: There seems to be a high demand for this kit and they make it a limited release?? Now isn't that stupid or what. However this being an Italeri release, the limited release -comment may mean almost anything, as they seem to release quite a few of their older kits as 'limited editions'. Let's think positive and believe in that we all can get our own 131:s :p And lets hope too that the limited release note doesn't scare off the aftermarket business, because this car could really use some alternative liveries too.

Is that old ESCI molding or Italeri made new one?
If I remember well, ESCI have one of that in past.

Yeah, I d think so, it's been such a long time they even brought something new out,actually, I can't remember :-) .
I think too it's a rerelease of the esci kit from seeing a few inbox pics of that one on ebay.
Ah well, I won't complain, it's a fair kit.
As for the limited release shit...
That's just the reply I got from somebody at Italeri's customer Service, who didn't even knew it's release date and even didn't know if it was a rerelease, I would't take that what she said as being true, but hey, it's true those italeri kits even here (Belgium) are pretty hard to find.
