Flywheels, probly somewhere, kinda pointless...and I'm doing a AT to MT swap right now on a 94 SL by myself, no prior experience w/ transmission work...almost done just need a clutch disk, pretty easy job if you ask me. If you know how to use a wratchet and how to pick the right size socket then you're golden. And if you wanna do it I could help you through it. oh yeah and I bought the tranny used 83k on it, w/ the pedals, shifter, and clutch for $750 shipped on ebay. Unfortunately I didnt get one piece of the clutch, so now i have to buy one.

So was it hard to find a transmission, and what about putting the new pedal in is that hard, and what about putting the shifter is that hard also.

Finding a transmission that was CHEAP was kinda hard, but they pop up every week somewhere. There's a few other cars that use the same transmission, so you can look for they're transmission's too. Putting in the shifter was the easiest part of the whole process, and the pedals I think were the hardest. You're supposed to take out the steering column to put in the clutch pedal, but I just lowered it and worked my way around it (which is what made that part hard). Drilling through the firewall was the scariest part before I started the whole thing, but it wasn't a big deal once I actually did it. As far as dropping the transmission out, if I did it again I could probly do it in a half hour now that I know where everything is, nothing is too hard to get to.
