Who knows the official performance results of Buick Park Avenue Ultra?
Results like 0 to 60 mhp, quarter mile time/speed, braking etc.
Or if there is no official results, somebody has its own info.
Please reply, I want to know if I have good results.

Your profile says you have a 93 ultra, next time, post your year..
Anyway, 0-60 is 7.3 seconds, 15.1 1/4 mile time

Not sure on the 0-60 time as stated above. This article of Consumer Reports (http://credit.consumerguide.com/auto/used/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/1997) says that the '94 Supercharged Ultra engine recieved a 20 horsepower increase from the '93 Supercharged engine, yet the '93 has the same 0-60 time as the '94?? I found the 0-60 time for a '94 at this site
(http://www.car-stats.com/stats/showstats/showstatsgivenid.aspx). I would assume the '93 Ultra is slower than the '94 with the 20 horsepower difference. Does anyone agree with that??

The consumer guide is all wrong, the 93 model year had the same engine as it did in 91 and 92. 95, not 94, recieved an updated climate control.
93 and 94's engines are exactly the same, so it you'll view the website, as a 94 ultra, you get the above numbers i posted.
Note: Because of a difference in source, my 1/4 mile time differs by .4, if this bothers you, then tough.

....I still say the '93 has less horsepower then the '94. http://www.cg-car-reviews.com/httpview/autopdf/1997.pdf ---> This website explains that the 1993-93 Ultras had a 205 horsepower supercharged engine (http://pda.edmunds.com/used/1993/buick/parkavenue/418/specs.html), and the 1994-95 Ultras were upgraded to a 225 hp engine (http://pda.edmunds.com/used/1994/buick/parkavenue/352/specs.html). Then in '96 with the 'series 2' 3.8liter engine, it boasted a 240 horsepower engine....right up till today i believe.
http://www.mn12performance.com/magnuson/magnuson.htm ---> now this website is on the OEM M62 Eaton Superchargers used in the Park Avenues and there is a line on the site that quotes, " GM - Buick 3.8 Vs has been using an M62 Eaton Supercharger since 1992 on special models, first generation. It was upgraded in 1994, second generation."
That is why the 94's gained a 20 horsepower difference from the 93's. Which backs up my proof that a 1993 Park Avenue Ultra doesn't do the same 0-60 as the '94. And if all of these websites are somehow "all wrong" then i guess alot of e-mails need to be written in order to "correct" this problem.

-First off, the website (http://credit.consumerguide.com/auto/used/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/1997) never said anything about changing engines from the 93 to 94....there has always been a 3.8 liter in the park avenue...the site just states that an increase in horsepower for the 94 model had occured. This is in part because of the second generation supercharger introduced in the 94 models.
As to the other quote of
" 95, not 94, recieved an updated climate control."
The website states nothing of the climate control being changed for 94. It does state that the climate controls "... got larger buttons and brighter graphics." for the 95, meaning that the climate control WAS updated in 95.
Not to be rude, but i've always been skeptical in online message boards, much the less online automotive message boards. Seems like everyone has a different opinion or "facts" on a vehicle that they think should be set in stone. I'm just trying to dig up fact from fiction, so don't take these posts as a personal vendetta.
Peace

Fact:
I am right, because My family has owned over 7 park avenues in the last 5 years.
I'm not sure about a SC change in 94, It's always been the M90 SC on the 3.8L.
Whether or not it was changed, a SC 93 is still more powerful than 80% of the cars on the road, and that ought to be enough. It's a Buick, luxury before performance.

Not sure what you're "right" about there TMan, but mojodojo2k has ya on the 0-60 times. He's also right about the supercharger upgrading to the generation 2 model where it gave the 94 more horsepower over the 93. I also doubt a 93 is more powerful than 80% of the cars on the road. Not sure where you're from, but from where i am most cars cost over $80 grande and have at least 300 horsepower. That 93 is lucky to beat a neon....buicks are for show not speed pal.
So i'm with mojodojo2k on the 0-60 times....the time Tman recommended is NOT the same time as a 93.
Way to go mojo....keep truckin'!

If you live in a higher class area, then you've naturally going to have higher valued cars. My judgement was based on the nation as a whole, including all areas. In mine for example, there ar maybe 90% of the cars are slower than Park Avenues. Read any review on the net, drive some other cars, you'll find that the park avenue is rather peppy. The other AF park avenue owners will back me up in this, Park Avenues are sleepers.
As for a new SC, I have a right to be wrong, and you have a right to disagree with anything that I, or any other member has said, but no member can ever, ever, denounce a moderator's title, or the reason he got it. Now, flagship99 has been banned for a week. He'll be returning to us in the 26th. If he misbehaves again, I'll make his vacation permenant.

Thank you for backing up the info you provided. Sorry for not posting my year, I will be more careful nex time.
So do I have any chance smoking 1998 Honda Accord V6?
Another question: I have changed my Idle Speed Control Sensor but sometimes still I have the RPM problem. Could this be the spark plugs?
Also what was the dealer price for that sensor I changed?

No problem!
I've raced and beat a late model V6 accord with a 94, non supercharged engine, so I'd imagine the SC 93 could handle that easily!
Idle speed control- Could very easily be plugs and wires, and I've no idea dealer cost for it, I do not work for a dealer.

so if a 94 does 7.3 on 0-60..how much would a 92-93 with a SC do? 8.5 maybe?
