88 4x4 bronco ii transaxle

hello,
does anebody can recomend me a book or page where i can find detail info about how it works an electric transfer?
i have all chilton and haynes manuals that covers this year make but just mention it
some time ago some fuses were blown and one wire was burn it, we were off road and just disconect the conector.(located at tranfer rear side)
now i want to fix the problem but i dont know anything of it, i even didnt find any electrical schematic that refers to that wires/conectors
any comment will be helpful
