Veritas

Ran into an old friend a couple of weekends ago and found out he was back in a new band. Their name is Veritas. I went and saw them last night and they were great. They're sound is real heavy. Since they don't want to be known as a cover band they only cover about 4 songs. One of which is Tool - Sober. So obviously everything else are their lyrics.

The band consits of 3 members, Vocals/Bass, guitar(my friend), and a drummer of course. The band that opened for them sucked ass and they had a drum solo that licked nuts. Then Veritas played and had a solo at the end and it was damn good. Definately not the best, but hey there really are only a select few that can really play a mouth-dropping drum solo.

So if anyone is ever in College Station,TX and wants to check em out drop me a pm and I'll let you know when they're playing. Oh and by the way, Veritas is from the movie Boondock Saints. And I believe means "To Tell Truth" in Latin.
