Sylvania Silverstars

I have purchased some Sylvania silverstars in about February of this year. Last week one of them went out. And this week the other bulb went out. I already know that Silverstars are a very good, long lasting reliable brand. So any ideas why they burned out after just 7 months? Also when I looked at both of them, there seemed to be a little broken off piece of metal or something moving around inside. I believe its called a filament or something.
Would appreciate anybodies replies.

The filament breaking off is how most ALL incandescant bulbs burn out. But after 7 months, that's odd... Did you ever get any grease or TOUCH the glass of the bulb when you installed them? I beleive they are warrantied either for a year or as long as you own them or something. See if you can get them replaced at no cost either by the store you got them from, or by Sylvania themselves. They should not burn out in less than a year, let alone in even 2 years.

I'm pretty sure they have a 1 year warranty just like PIAA. Hope you kept the receipt and box they came in, otherwise you're screwed.
