i am on my second eclipse (first was a 92 2.0) now i have a 93 and i want to get the 1.8 outta there. i have searched the site but no thread has answered my question. i want to know what parts i need to swap for the 4g63, (non-turbo) if it is or isnt a good idea, or if there is some other 2.0 that would be easier to put in. i was planning on buying a 4g63 from a junkyard and rebuilding it and evantually dropping in the eclipse. i have heard all over that 4g63's are good engines that are good candidates for upgrades and would really like to put one in. also, when rebuilding the engine i was planning on replacing these parts

get a 6 bolt from the 1st gen. to do the swap u need at least the wiring harness, engine, probably motor mounts and if its a automatic you need the trans. manuals use the same trans except the awd has a transfer case hanging off the bottom.
