7 bolt stroker block question - 1st or 2nd gen??

ok, i'm planning on building a stroker for my 2g but what i was wondering is which block would be the better choice?? the first gen 7 bolt (92.5-94) or the 2nd gen 7 bolt (95-99). i know that the 1st gen 6 bolts are the STRONGEST but i don't think they make a 6 bolt stroker, so would the 1st gen 7 bolt be stronger than the 2nd gen 7 bolt, or doesn't it matter??

ok i found a 6 bolt stroker from JAM but that's the only one i've seen. anyways....still want to know what the best 7 bolt stroker block would be....a 1st gen, or 2nd gen.

i dont think it matters... 2nd gen blocks have crank sensors and i am not too positive how easy it is to put on a 1st gen block but either way... if your messing with the crank you have a better chance for crank walk ;) i'd say if your goin to do a stroker kit... use a 6 bolt block!

7 bolt 2.4 liters are crankwalking, you see them pop up every now and again on the various forums. Could just be installer error though. From what I hear it really hard to find the 6 bolt blocks (late 80s hyundais/mitsus) in some places. There are massive threads on this on tuners and talk, I would set aside a good hour and go through them.

Another advantage of stroking a 2 liter is you can use the regular 6 bolt block.
