jus wanted to start a survey to see how many people have a primered civic...i know its common i see it all the time...and yes i am one of those people

mine is, and will be for the next few months while I finish the body work and exterior.

isnt it not good to have a car primered for a long time? Ive heard that if you have a car primered for too long, you'll just need to do primer it again for the paint to apply good.

as long as its sealed you wont have any issues, Mine is in primer because I'm doing body work on it in my spare time and theres no sence in painting if if I'm just going to be cutting and welding on that part latter on, so I just wait till I'm finished. I allways sand the primer and put another coat on before applying the base coat to take care of any irregularities in the differnt pannels that were painted at differnt times so it it makes the overall match better. If you dont spray a coat of sealer over the primer it can rust under it though becuase primer is porus.

i will have my car primered until the skirts & wide kit get here...& thats probly income tax time-

And a great way to word it..I personally don't like the looks of primered cars to much..because all the people here who have primered cars are "going" to paint their cars...which never happens..seasons come and go and still they drive around all primered lol, I'll just keep the paint that honda was nice enough to put on my car for me.

their was an s10 that was primered for like four years here, he finally got it painted yellow with blue flames and after about a week it disappeared and noone has seen him or the truck sence.

my car is primered, but ive never driven it. not even when i bought it. bought it as a shell, have been working on it for well over a year (its nearing 2), and i wont drive it until its painted.

i jus did all the bodywork on my car n primered it, i jus need to paint it just not sure which color i want....i dont mind the primer looks better then that ugly blue it used to be but primer is bad to leave on causes rust...

heh i work at walmart right now and we have like at least 2 or 3 code adams a day. But yeah my car is flat black which alot of people consider primer.
