found a local iroc has 75000 miles and a 5.7 liter. How much should I pay for this car? Is the insurance ridiculously high? Im only 14, but I worked for my dad this summer and he agreed he would pay for half of a car. I was kinda lookin for a 5.0 Mustang, but the irocs look a hell of alot better.not lookin to spend over 3000

I think the car is only good for 3000 no more ill bet he is trying to get at least 5000 out of it

well, just the year, model, and mileage isnt really enough to go on when suggesting a price for a car. you need to take it for a test drive, and look at it from an overall persepective. whats the condition of the body, drivetrain, suspension. has it ever been in a wreck, take it for a drive and see how it handles, i bought by RS which was pretty cherry, except the cooling system and brakes, for 3000, i bought my IROC with a 5.7 for 2300 but it was a basket case and i intentionally bought her as a project. so if the car is in great shape, and its an IROC, then id expect to pay anywhere from 3000 to 5000 depending on your area and the demand for the car.

Make sure its a real iroc with a 5.7L if thats what you really want. If someone just put iroc badges on it and dropped in a 350 it wont have as much resale value as a real one would.

well, its a relatively rare package, there were alot more 5.0's than 5.7's in the third gens. if it has rust comin through the door... and 75,000 miles i wouldn't pay more than 2500 for it. that's just making the assumption that if it has been allowed to rust, then other problems may have been allowed to go unchecked; and maybe the car wasn't well maintained which would mean that the engine may have more than 75,000 miles worth of wear on it. a pic would be helpful for us but my guess from what u said is 2500 is a good starting price. get a pic for us if u can...
