alright everyone...this has been on my mind for a while now...ok when i start my car up in the morning it revs at 1400 rpms...is that right? and then it goes down after a while.... ohhh and it seems when i first start it up and when i put the gas down a little to shift my car stinks...lol...i dont burn oil or nothing...but i do have an exhaust leak underneath but i am not sure either by the cat or just somewhere in the pipes...could that cause this smell..?

ok ok....this is my first stick shift car and i think it is just me be here it goes...say i am in 3rd gear...running about 2500 rpms...when i kick it down the rpms jump fucking high and then come down...like today coming home from the gym i was in 5th gear doing about 60 or 65 and i kicked it down and i rev high and then when it go to 80 it dropped back down to like 2500 i think...? anything on that? explain plz...

That smell is probably burning catalyst - your converter is probably old and senile and has to be replaced.

I'm not sure what you mean with the rpms but if it does read the way I read it, your clutch is slipping. NOT good.

ok well i think that i am just going to take the cat off anyways....no i dont think it has anything to do with the clutch trust me...clutch is good...i dont think it is anything tell you the truth i swear the car has not even been broken in lol...until i got it =) anyways thanks for the smell problem..i thought it was the little leak that i had...

lol i need a project car becasue i am so damn bored....which one of these do you think i should get....(i dont want a fiero one...becasue it is always getting fixed and one is good enough) and yes they will most likey be ricey lol the ones listed first are my favorites:

Nissan 240sx
Mitsubushi Eclipse Gst or Gsx
Toyato Celica Gt

these are the only ones....i really want a 240 sx what do u all think?
