im going pretty simple on the exterior of my 00' civic si b16a. black civic, flat black 15 inch. motagi's 1-1 1/2" drop, carbon fiber hood, halo headlamps. i want to keep the car as quiet as possible except when needed. main question is will a y-pipe hurt my engine if the pipe go's far enough away from the engine. any answers or opinions thanks.

If you want a quiet exhaust and still peforms really well...get the rs-r exhaust. My boy had one on his '00 SI and it was QUIET! :)

R*SR Ex-Mag is quiet but it's not stainless, so it has the potential to rust. I have the Apex'i World Sport, which is also quiet. Most people can't even tell that I have aftermarket exhaust without looking at it. The World Sport is about $100 cheaper than the Ex-Mag too, and it's stainless steel. You'll get good results with either of those systems.
