Hi All -
I am in Colorado and ski a ton. I had a 1994 Z71 were I installed a custom front airdam tha accepted PIAA aftermarket yellow fog lights. It worked really great in the worst of snow/fog. On my new truck (a 1999 Z71) the factory fog lights are pathetic, and I have been unable to find any sort of high pwered bulb, let alone anything in yellow. Will the factory wiring accept a non factory/aftermarket fog light? Have any of you found any decent bulbs for them? I like the look of a clean street/performance truck, so I really don't want to bolt anything to a bumper top or anything.
Also - here is a tip.... I run a hard shell tonneau cover - so my cargo light is pretty worthless. I replaced the white bulbs with amber ones that are one step brighter. In heavy snow and fog I simply hit the button - its amaizing how much better people can see me from behind.
