S14 to S15 (body)

What would the price tag be (guesstimate), to modify a 240sx 96' to fit S15 body parts (front, side, and rear)? Also a brief summary on what has to be done to fit an S15 body kit on a 96'? I already have the s15 headlights, would I have to replace the tail lights too, because i'd rather have the s14 tail lights but, if it is necessary to replace them then I will.:uhoh:

Well so far I've only seen the front end conversion for sale... about the whole car I dont think there is a kit available. So pretty much you are on your own. Other people have asked before and gotten the same answer. Strawberry face is the only thing that most people have been able to find. Also you might get flamed for this by a line that maybe similar to this(S14 is an S14... S15 is an S15) so yeah the front end is all that I've seen and ViS makes a kit and I dont know any others. I heard somewhere that their kit doesnt bolt onto the s13 chassis but havn't heard anything of the s14.5 conversion. Just do some research of your own and find out before asking because I thought of doing this a long time ago but than I'm like whats the point... Id rather have the real thing ;)

Indeed, and you make a point when you say S14 is S14 and S15 is S15. I knew about the strawberry face conversion, so I was wondering if there was a full body conversion. Oh well, I still love the S14 body.:bigthumb:

Ty and yeah I doubt there is a full body conversion. I mentioned above that I was considering doing this and I have searched far and wide and havn't found a full body conversion ever. You could fab the tail to fit the s15 tails but you have already made your mind up on that :-p to fit the s15 lights your going to A) either get a strawberry face lift. or B) Fab the front fenders,hood,grill, and maybe bumper. I dont know any prices of fabbing because my friends would deal with that kind of stuff for me but all and all I think(not an educated guess)the conversion would be about the same price. If your serious about doing this than you might want to start looking for a bodyshop that can do this or you could do it on your own ;) but I think ViS says something about make sure their kit is professionally installed so haha :rofl: haha good luck :icon16:

those are 2 face lifts offered by ViS, again I've read their kits dont bolt right up(but those were from s13 owners) I havnt heard anyone do it to an s14 but I have seen it dont numbers of times. Infact theres one on ebay for sale. The auction MAYBE over by now but the owner has listed it a second time before and has had his "friend" post in these forums about selling it. I dont think those last lines were relevent :uhoh: but ohh well

I don't know what the previous owner did, I bought the car with S15 head lights on it, but from what I see, mine does not have a strawberry face, it looks like just the stock S14 front bumper, oh well. Anyways if I do decide to go with the strawberry on the S14 I'll be sure to tell you the whole process and if it needed any fabricating or not etc.

By the way, I've looked all over, for some headlight covers to go over the S15 lights, I probably haven't looked very hard though, anyone that can give me a link to some awesome headlight covers for the S15 that'd be great, pics?

Are you talking about the lense that covers the whole piece or what? if not the lense or if the lense just check some jdm sites or any sites that specailize in the s15 silvia :D i dont see why their headlight parts wont convert over it should anyways if you can get a pic of your car id like to see what the headlights look like on an s14 without the face lift. and just check the f.a.q to look for some silvia sites

Yeah there are only front end convertions... basically all you need is the fender kit *make sure its a s14->s15 since there are s13->s15 kits as well* and a s15 hood... then you can grab any front bumper for s15 aftermarket as walla you got your front end :)

I will probably be able to get some pictures in on Saturday. I'll just take some of the whole car, because I know I'll need them for future refrence, let's just say I have a lot of questions. :wink:
