Was talking to someone and he said he will keep the car for me and tell people it is sold if i really want it.
How does this sound?
(i forgot to find out what year it was before but i asked him and waiting for him to write back)
v6
230,XXXkm
5 speed
Was repainted like 2 years ago so the body is in good shape, just a scratch on the bottom of front bumper
new rotors all around
new muffler
short shifter
brand new mvi
runs excellent
he said he lookin for $4000 o.b.o with stereo
$3800 o.b.o without stereo
Does that sound like a fair price?
and what would you offer?

with 230kms on it I would drive that price down... Whether shes been fixed or not, find out if the disty is in good shape and/or has been changed recently, when was the last timing belt change? Timing belt replacement is a bitch to do and is very costly. If it hasnt been done in the past 50,000km or so tell the owner that its gonna be due soon and is costly (In the 500$ range if you do waterpump too) and I'd try and get 3000$ around.
Good luck buddy :)

Your prob gunna think im stupid for asking this but what do u mean by the disty?
I also found out the car is a 94, and he msg'd me back sayin since we'v talked before about the car that he will sell me it for $3600 instead of $4000...if it all checks out and sounds good im still gunna make sure i dont pay more then $3500 for it

I just got a email back from the guy about the timing belt...i also asked if it was undercoated due to us living right on the coast with some bad winters....
he said....."the car has never been winter driven..and it has not been undercoated, but the floor is mint in it. My uncle is a body man and he owned it b4 me.
I don't know when the timing belt has been changed but it seems fairly new."

disty = distributor
sorry dude sometimes i get carried away with all the lingo. Basically a distributor is the thing that send sparks to your spark plugs... So follow the Sparkplug wires from the valve covers and at the end of the rainbow you'll find the distributor. Basically the Disty spins at the same speed at your camshaft (they are attatched) and when the rotor inside the Disty spins it makes contact with several (six in the V6, and 4 on the 4 banger) metal conductors and that completes the circuit so a charge is sent to the sparkplug and it sparks to ignite the air/fuel mix. =D
