Steering In A 95 SE

im some what new to the fourms but have been looking around for an answer, i went and drove a 95 se, thinking about buying it bu i havent figured out if the steering on this one is just shitty or is it all of the probes... it feels like it dosent have power steering...i stoped at a stop sign and tried to turn the wheel and it felt like it was locked. or maybe im to used to driving luxury cars like my dads, any info would be greatly appreciated
