04 Civic Si vs. SVT Focus

The second week i've had my car, and i finally raced. I was leavin' class at six, and went to mcdonalds for some dinner. At about seven i left and went to the strip in front of our mall, and low and behold an SVT Focus pulls up next to me. Of course, i looked over and like made some facial expressions, and did the classic head nod and we started revving. Now i'm not a good shifter yet by any means, but i took off and we were even, and after around 85, i was almost a car length in front, then i let off, and went about my business. It was fun if nothing else entertaining for people that may have seen it. My car is totally stock and so was the SVT. I think i'll wait a lil' bit longer for any mods.

I think i could beat the crap out of some civic. You may have some money and a new si, but that won't protect you when you go up against a real Car....DSM. haha, Turbo beats N/A anyday.

all i have seen dsms do is break.

They actually run low 15's, but I still liked the SVT Contour a lot more.

i like the focus's looks more, but id pick the contour too.

good kill. the SVT focus and the Si are very evenly matched in straight line wise. however the handling and braking goes to the SVT.

u show me a 15.2 svt focus...and dsm's are great till about 90k when they blow up...n/a is where the real power is

...the other guy can't drive, because the SVT Focus has more HP and TQ than the Si, and weighs the same, plus has the advantage of an LSD...

Do you really think that? The Focus isn't about straight lines, they are all about handling those corners. It may not be the best at the track but it's the best handling car in it's class and one of the best handling all around. Only thing missing from it is the supercharger SVT loves to put on their vehicals.

There have been a total of 2 SVT vehicles that had an S/C installed stock.

Wasn't exactly a trend, although I hope it becomes one.

Imagine if the SVT Contour was supercharged. That Duratec V6 can take a beating, too. :)
