when does it jump, just whenever, or is it when you're coming to a stop or accelerating or something like that?

it jumps while stopped in limp mode, from "N" to "R"or"D", and i mean the engine atleast jumps 2 inches.

Trans fluid or TCU.

pull the TCU code.... it might help you disect what the problem is. other than that... might wanna take it to the dealer and have it checked out.

Damn. I wish my psychic powers were that in tune.

Like Rice-Rocket said, pull the codes. I made a test lite to flash the codes with a 12v automotive bulb, some scrap wire, alligator clips, and tape.

I am going to agree with DRD check your Speed Sensor on the tranny. My buddy had the same problem with his 98 Talon ESI and he changed the sensor and it was all better. I believe the sensor cost like 60.00.

Oh and one other thing. If it is that sensor your TCU might not throw out a signal. His didnt and he took it to numerous places. They kept telling him he needed to buy a new tranny. But I told him to just try and replace that sensor and he did. And the problem is gone. The sensor is pretty easy to remove with the right tools. And pretty easy to get to as well.

My point is...start with free diagnosis, then move to throwing parts at the problem.
