I have 2001 Blazer 4.3 engine 2 door zr2 with after market commander remote start without alarm. Dealer bypassed it(commander) said that was problem now called me back and said fuel pump is bad alsothey want $900.00. So I am going to change that myself. Is there a access panel to get to it without having to drop tank?.

hold on, is it the remote start or the fuel pump?
Tell them to clarify, these are not related at all.
And you will have to drop the tank to service it.

What?
That is there problem, they caused this condition, get THEM to fix it.
Your battery wasn't dead and the tank wasn't drained before you took it to them.

I 2nd that! What were they thinking??? Sure sounds like they do not know what they are doing. It is obvious since they first said it was the remote start, removed it, now say it is something else. I would make sure to verify that it is indeed the fuel pump. Most common problem on GM vehicles is the Passkey system fails. That's probably why they screwed with the remote starter. Although, fuel pumps seem to fail at a high rate especially if you drive alot with less than 1/4 tank.
