Hey guys,
I am the proud new owner of a 1997 BMW 740iL. Still waiting for the loan and stuff to be processed so I haven't picked the car up yet.
I got the car for $14,000 out the door at a local dealership. The car has 109,000 miles on it and is a dark blue color with gray interior.
I've never seen a 7 year old car that looked so beautiful. It is in mint condition inside and out. The car had been meticulously maintained by the previous owner.
Just had a 100,000 mile tune-up done 4,000 miles ago. Tires have less than 3,000 miles on them.
Tell me what you guys think. And by the way, I'm an 18 year old senior in high school, and I'm paying for everything on my own.
-Kevin

Anyone with a E38 named Kevin has to be smart!
make sure the radiator was replaced along with the expansion tank. They usually fail before 65k.
Good luck!
another Kevin..

Hey guys,
I ended up getting a different car. After I got all the papers signed and stuff ready to go, my dad told me I needed to find a car with lower miles that would cost less to maintain.
So my dealer got me into a 1997 BMW 328i! I'm a little dissapointed I had to give up a 7 for a 3, but it's gonna end up being WAY cheaper in the long run, and I got it for $500 less and it only has 60,000 miles on it.
Anyway, I'm still happy that I'm in a BMW.
