Crap, stripped nut

well my stillen downpipe came in and i managed to get every bolt off except the two nuts that bolt the main cat to the rest of the exuast. I rounded the head after resorting to using a hydrolic jack to push a socket wrench up attempting to loosen it. well anyway, what would be the best way to remove the nut? I'v never used a nut splitter, do they work good? i was just gonna attempt to cut it off with my dremel. would this be better? Do i need the thread\bolt thing attached to the cat? or can i just use a normal 19mm nut and bold to bolt my stillen to the rest of the exuast? if thats the case then i'll just drill through it. thanks

maybe try some rust penetrating solvent if the nut is salvageable. always have some of that handy when working on exhausts...rust builds up very easily under there.

I havnt used the nut splitter, but I would think any 19m bolt would work fine. Cut it, if you can get it out/off that way. And for future reference, I agree with Linebckr, get some penetrating oil and drench the bolts prior to doing something like this.

use this thing called pentration breaker, it worked for me when my bolt was stripped, and just go and replace the stripped bolt
