Does anyone know any links to sites about jazz music? I'm doing a report for school and I can't find anything.

IMO Jazz sounds like a bunch of cows dying. And feel free to quote me in your report.

you're thinking of old blues mate
jazz is up tempo normally, with brass. It's like the earlyest form of ska, very old school.

Blues, Jazz, same thing, they both use a saxaphone.

But yea, I guess your right. The blues is soooo slow...

real blues doesn't always have brass and/or woodwind instruments, and saying blues and jazz is the same thing is like saying lamborghini and ferari are the same thing :)

Those who usually appreciate jazz have a higher than average level of mental aptitude, which would help explain your comment. Not to mention there are so many differnet types of jazz that sound nothing like one another, even though they use the exact same instruments.

Oh yeah, the links:

I see you have never really listened to either Jazz or Blues. But if your level of musical entertainment comes from the pop top 20 list I can understand your comment.

Now, Now, no need to go there. :nono:

Everyone has an opinion on what does or doesn't sound good to their ears and we should respect that. One would assume you like every type of music out there, but I doubt you do.

I'm with you Jas_M. How can anybody button up a musical spectrum as diverse as jazz in one simple statement? For sure I hate some jazz but there is something for everybody in jazz, so long as they open their ears and mind.

I am very picky about my music, which explains my comment. I either hate it or love it, unfortunately there's no happy medium.
