Flushing radiator?

Planning on doing a hose replacement / radiator flush on daughters 2000 Cavalier. What is the recommeded way to flush these radiators? I never screwed with a radiator that did not have the cap on top of the radiator before. How do you get the air out on one of these? Any tips or tricks will be appreciated... thanks......

A lot of the newer cars have a bleeder screw on top of the thermostat housing. You may want to check with a Haynes manual to be sure because I cannot say that I have experience with this year model.

you have to bleed the air? lol i replaced my motor and when i filled all the fluids i didnt bleed any air and it seems to be ok took the recomended amout of coolant also.

Yeah, My 98 Century 3.1 is supposed to be bleed as well. I did not and that was last year. Seems fine so far. But it is in the proceedures listed in the Haynes manual.

What does the bleeder screw look like?

it is blue or green about a half inch high with ribbes right on it I think it also has a smalle round sticker on it

I also changed out my engine and did not bleed the line, for about the first day you can hear a gulping sound from the lines when you turn the engine off, mine went away soon after. No problems.

It would be a screw that goes into the coolant line/thermostat housing. Good Luck.
