Fast Gsr wont run right after head work

I HAVE 2 YEARS OF AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE, and Graduated at NADC. OK, i just took the cylinder head off on my 94 Gsr.I put Honda ITR springs, CTR cam, new head gaskes, and a new intake manifold gasket. Well when i put it all back together taking my time to do every thing right, i started it and the motor reved to about 6.5 thousand rpm like I was pushing on the gas. I shut it off immediatly and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary, so i called my friend (Import God) who said my idler air control valve could be the prob. So i disconnected it to see if it made a difference. It made the car idle SPARATICALLY around 2-3 thousand rpm. Should i replace it for 200$!!!? please tell me no. I cant find the Problem HELP ME!!! :greddy2:

Sounds like your iac valve is stuck.You can try to get one from the boneyard for way less? Or look on the www.partstrader.com www.hondaclassifieds.com or go to the classifieds section on ..
