96 Seabring Not Running

We Have A 96 Seabring. The Car Was Overheating And Then Just Quit Running. It Is Currently At The Shop And We Are Awaiting News. We Were Told It Is Possibly The Timing Chain. Has Anyone Had This Problem Or Could Offer Some Insight?
