what kind of coilovers?

just curious to see what kind of suspension some of u guys are running and what everyone thinks is the best all round coilovers take money into consideration

the Tein Flex is quite a nice system. it is a little expensive but it is nice quality. It is also compatible with the EDFC which it makes it a little easier to adjust dampening. The ride is also not that stiff but it can become pretty stiff which makes it nice for drifting.

so the flex can be good for drifting as well as for a comfortable daily driver?

Yeah, I haven't drifted with it yet but it sure does get stiff and thats what you want for drifting. but the daily driving part of it is real nice. nice smooth ride.

I've also heard that the Tein He are pretty good but just stiff for driving on old roads. If you were driving on a freeway or something all the time then they would be awesome but when it comes to driving in town i've heard there to stiff.

I say Tein all the way they have the digital controller that goes in dash to adjust your ride height electronically and theyve been around forever. Im not sureon prices but it will sure be worth it.

The ride is closer to HE than FLEX though right? The spring rates on the SPLParts.com ones that is.

i use tanabe gf210 springs and kyb agx's. i used to use tokico hp's (blue) but they kinda sucked. my set-up if definatly keepin me happy tho.

The Rates are the same as the HE but they have more damping adjustment. the go from stiffer than Tein RAs to a little stiffer than AGX + Kg/mm. just read the entire 5 pages on Zilvia. theres alot of opinions there.

i got the tein flex system with edfc. I personally like it. Had to adjust my height higher than the stock setting on the suspension. Made my ride height very low and would be a pain in the rear to go over speed bumps cause my apexi dual exhaust. Right now it is great. Easy to adjust the height too....he are height adjustable too. I know that HE has a stiffer spring rate though.

The 270 in/lb (4.8) DR21's or the 370 in/lb (6.6) DR21 Race?

I am debating RS*R Race/AGX vs SPL's about a $200-300 difference (I'd do all new mounts and dust boots).

teins don't have adjustable heigth with EDFC monoxide.... they have adjustable dampening

SPL coilovers are nice, I wish I had a set of those. I think those are great coilovers at a great price. If you want something a lil cheaper but great coilovers, I'd go with D2's/K-sports. It's what I have on right now. height adjustable, and the only 36-way dampening adjustment coilovers on the market. You can really fine-tune comfort/handling-ability. You can't really go wrong with D2's, especially at it's price range at only $800.

I did my research, and so far everyone that has em on only had good things to say. Ride is not bad at all, great handling, very adjustable coilovers, and construction is solid. I can also get you a good pricing off of a friend who's a dealer for them (and no I am not sayin it's good just b/c my friend sells em, I always said good things about em before my friend sold em)
