my car will not run

i got this car from an old lady and it did not run but she siad it ran when she use to drive it it sat in her yard for 3 years i got it in 2004 i tried to fix it but it still does not run i got a new gas tank the old one had a hole in it and i got new fuel filter and gas pump and still does not but when i put gas in the tbi/carb it will run till the gas runs out i think it is a wire probelm somewhere on the car

You might want to look into using the period button on your keyboard next time.

Does the fuel pump come on? Check the fuel pump fuse if not.
btw. Did you fail english class? The "period button" has a purpose.
