Need help w/ VAFC install

Hey all, I know it's been a while since I've posted up here, but I still know where to go when I need some serious knowledge! I just found me a VAFC to put in my CRX to finally make use of my VTEC engine, and was studying the install diagrams... I am looking at the ones on www.apexi.com, and I think that the wh1 (looking at http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocumentation/electronics_vafc_update.pdf ) is the right diagram, based on the pinouts, but I don't know what to do with the vtec input wire, and I think that I omit the VTM wire, is that right? I assume that where it shows an X on the diagram, I am to cut into the harness and run the signal through the unit, and where it shows a dot, I am simply to tie into the wire. Are there any other tips you guys and girls can offer me?
